Join us for a fascinating look at the history of Yamato Rock (formerly known as Jap Rock) near Highland Beach, Florida, including never-been-presented facts about the site and its namesake, the Yamato Colony. In addition to being a significant archaeological site and early Indigenous settlement, from 1903 to 1942, Yamato Rock was an important area for both recreation and religion for the Yamato colonists. It also served as a site for bootleggers, explorers, and fishing enthusiasts.

Bryan Davis authored the recent National Register of Historic Places nomination for the site.

Lite refreshments will be served.

Space is very limited, so reserve early!
