We’ll cover postwar prosperity and optimism, influences on civil rights, Delray’s segregated neighborhoods and the sundown law, Brown v. Board of Education and the NAACP, demonstrations on Delray’s beachfront in 1956, tensions between city leaders and the community, televised mediation between the Civic League and the City Commission, the path to integration in public spaces, and civil rights organizations and committees in Delray Beach.
