Lecture: “How to Create a Bird Sanctuary in Your Backyard!”

Apr 226:00 pm

Presented by Audubon Everglades with Helen Laurence & Mary Young

Join us for a tour of our Heritage Garden habitats and proceed to a lecture in the historic 1926 Bungalow on “Creating a Bird Sanctuary.”

Imagine your yard with floating butterflies and more bird song than you have now. Through photographs and detailed information, Audubon Everglades will show you why native plants are so important to birds and butterflies, which native plants birds love, and where to buy them. Create your own “Bird Sanctuary” in your yard or in pots on your balcony and help local and migrating birds survive!

Enjoy refreshments and a special plant giveaway!

Hosted by the City of Delray Beach Green Implementation Board and The Delray Beach Historical Society. Special guests: Surfrider Foundation & Sandoway Discovery Center

Free event. Space is limited.
