Heritage Lecture: “Hypocrite’s Row,” a novel by Eliot Kleinberg (Prohibition in South Florida)

May 126:00 pm

Heritage Lecture Season 2025-2026

Eliot Kleinberg presents his novel, “Hypocrite’s Row.”

This enlightening and adventurous novel provides a rare glimpse into 1920’s Florida history, when Prohibition was more or less a joke.

To set the stage: Along the open coastline just a few hours’ boat ride from the British Bahamas, wealthy society swells, gangsters, and tourists paid handsomely to drink. The suppliers became folk heroes and the lawman the villain. Eliot Kleinberg shares the sordid history, and absolute failure, of Prohibition in Palm Beach County in his novel Hypocrite’s Row, the first book of the “Adventures of Nate Moran” series. This one will be fun!
